The War Field

The fields to the west and east are unusually lush, filled with rolling meadows of green grass and multicolored flowers. Do not let this pristine expanse fool you, for this very earth is fertilized with the millions who died here, fighting for a cause they may or may not have believed in, for a nation who may or may not have even known their name. Remember, and never forget, the sacrifice each of them made, as you walk along the paths.
